CINE-MOMENT 2 - Courants d'Airs (2017)

The CINE MOMENTS highlight the guest composers of Le Salon de Helen Buchholtz and their works from a different angle.

The island of Ouessant, summer 2015. The music resonates. This is the “Musiciennes à Ouessant” festival – that year under the banner of Luxembourgish female composers. Three contemporary female composers, Catherine Kontz (guest composer at Le Salon de Buchholtz in 2022), Albena Petrovic-Vratchanska and Tatsiana Zelianko (guest composer at Le Salon de Helen Buchholtz this year) have drawn inspiration from the work of their predecessor Lou Koster to transcribe and reconstruct her music, but also to create their own pieces. It is an opportunity for musicians and the public to meet new people on this “island of women”, as Ouessant is nicknamed.
