CINE-MOMENT 3 - Documentary with music by Nigji Sanges (2024)

The CINE MOMENTS highlight the guest composers of Le Salon de Helen Buchholtz and their works from a different angle.

This still unpublished documentary introduces us to four remarkable women in the 18th century who broke free from the yoke of Western patriarchal and colonial powers to live lives of adventure. Driven by the ideal of a more egalitarian society, they took to the seas and led crews, not hesitating to cross-dress and take up arms. They even became the first abolitionists in history, helping slaves regain their freedom by integrating them into their ranks.
The original music composed by Nigji Sanges, guest composer of Helen Buchholtz Salon, will give you an insight into her creation in the field of film music.
