Gesang, Clavichord und Rezitation
This serenade, performed at the Salzburg Festival in 2023 and invited to “Le Salon de Helen Buchholtz”, perfectly embodies the alliance between music and literature in the atmosphere of the salon. Georg Nigl, distinguished baritone, joins forces with the young clavichordist Alexander Gergelyfi for an exceptional evening, accompanied by the German actor Ulrich Noethen.
In the intimate setting of the Bridderhaus “Chapelle”, the clavichord, with its hushed sounds, finds the perfect space and invites the audience to listen meticulously.
Georg Nigl, a passionate explorer of the Baroque repertoire, unveils seventeenth-century arias by Henry Purcell, Giulio Caccini and Claudio Monteverdi, accompanied by the subtle nuances of the clavichord played by Alexander Gergelyfi.
The spoken word and the sung word alternate during the evening. Ulrich Noethen brings to life the texts of Iranian poet Forugh Farrokhzad, creating a subtle dialogue between poetry and music.
