Sacha Hanlet & Sergio Manique

TEXTUR>ES is designed as an immersive exploration of the microcosm of matter, working to transgress the boundaries between contemporary art and music, exploring the relationship between matter, sound and image. The project focuses on the subtle dance of metal particles and fluid dynamics, such as ferrofluid — a universe usually invisible to the naked eye. Using macro cinematography, represented in the form of projections and mapping, Sacha Hanlet and Sergio Manique, in collaboration with renowned videographer David Laplant and video mapping designer Petrit Jung, capture the ephemeral and captivating beauty of these materials in their interactions, mutations and evolution. This visual narrative is woven together with a musical journey performed by THEM LIGHTS, creating a soundscape that is both futuristic and deeply organic. The result is a sensory experience where every sparkling particle and every moving droplet reflects the resonant pulsations of synthesised sounds.
